Last week the European Commissioners travelled to Malta to discuss the direction in which the EU will be heading in the next six months. Also, the Commission introduced legislative measures to update data privacy and to boost the single market of services, while the candidates for the European Parliament Presidency presented themselves in a TV debate.
News from Brussels / Week 12 - 16 December 2016
Last week the EU took one further step towards the abolition of roaming charges. The Parliament revised the rules of procedure and introduced new rules for lobbying. The Council supports the agenda on strengthening European farmers and together all three institutions made a pledge to give special priority to fast-track legislative work.
